“Shadow” a Chef
Lakeshore Technical College is offering a unique opportunity for individuals to “shadow” a chef and experience the daily operations of a commercial kitchen. The “Shadow a Chef” program allows participants to spend a day in the kitchen of a local restaurant, learning from experienced chefs and gaining hands-on experience.
According to Chef instructor, Jeff Igel, the program is a great way for aspiring chefs to see what the industry is really like and to decide if it is the right career path for them. It also allows individuals who are already working in the culinary industry to learn from different chefs and expand their knowledge and skills.
The program is open to anyone over the age of 18 and interested individuals can choose from a variety of participating restaurants. The cost is $50 per person and includes lunch. Space is limited and participants are encouraged to register early.
